Martha C. Garcia, 87, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, April 25, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Irene Rose Rael and husband, Justin of Alpine, CA; sons, Richard W. Garcia and wife, Laura, Robert L. Garcia, Bernie J. Garcia and wife, Laura, all of Albuquerque, and Ernest R. Garcia and wife, Barbara of Vancouver, WA; 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Sammie Chavez and wife, Arcie of Albuquerque; special niece, Marie Elena Sanchez and husband, Waldo of Albuquerque; and other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nevarez A. Garcia; grandson, Larry B. Garcia; and great-granddaughter, Janine Pino. Mrs. Garcia was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Deacon Julian Padilla reciting. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix NE, with Father Johnny Lee Chavez, Celebrant and Deacon Pilar Garcia assisting. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard W. Garcia II, Patrick J. Garcia, Robert J. Garcia, Ronald M. Rael, John L. Rael, Bernie V. Garcia Jr., and Mark A. Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven L. Garcia, Justin P. Rael, Phyllis A. Santillanes, Loretta M. Garcia, Laura Lynn Lerma, Martita L. Rael, Christine R. Jones, Rebecca L. Garcia, William N. Garcia, Danilla M. Garcia, and Simone R. Garcia.
