J. Bennie McKee, 81, an Albuquerque resident since 1991, died Tuesday, January 12, 1999. Mr. McKee is survived by his wife, Vennel McKee of Albuquerque, daughters, Kay Jackson and husband Herbert, and Frances McKee, all of Van Horn, TX; son, Daniel McKee of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Mr. McKee was a member of Berean Baptist Church. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a geophysicist with Mobil Oil Company and later retired from Coastal Oil Co. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 15, 1999, at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Pastor Henry L. Powell, officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Thursday from 4 until 8:00 p.m.
