Mrs. Mary DeLaPena died Tuesday in Albuquerque, her passing was peaceful and calm. She is survived by her children, Julio DeLaPena and wife, Debra of Albuquerque, Ruben DeLaPena and wife, Charlotte of Houston, TX, Mark DeLaPena and wife, Renee of Sacramento, CA, Steven DeLaPena of Albuquerque and Kennedy DeLaPena of Albuquerque; daughters, Patricia DeLaPena of Houston, TX and Mary Lou Lopez and husband, Jose of Albuquerque; and two brothers, Arcenio Sanchez and Ignacio Sanchez both of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ruben, Paul and Leon DeLaPena of Houston, TX, Chase, Marcus and Niko DeLaPena of Sacramento, CA, Joey and Milinda Lopez of Albuquerque. Funeral services for Mrs. DeLaPena will be held on Friday at San Ignacio Catholic Church where the mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leon DeLaPena, Ruben DeLaPena, Jr., Paul DeLaPena, Joey Sanchez, D.R. Anderson"RIP" and Jon Stravers"Hawk Daddy". A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Salazar and Sons Mortuary, 400 3rd St. SW.
