Obituary for Comiskey

A precious heart stopped beating. Our beloved mother and grandmother, Flora V. Comiskey, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Jo Sena; son, Frank Comiskey and wife, Patti; grandson, Art Sena and wife, Jean, Richard Sena and wife, Linda, Frank Comiskey Jr. and wife, Sarah and Gary Comiskey and wife, Karen; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Amber Sena and Austin and Kyle Comiskey; brother, Willie and wife, Arcelia; nephew, James Reck; numerous other relatives; and her special friend Ed Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sons, Joseph Jr., and John; and parents, Clarita and Francisco Valencia. Flora was a native New Mexican and had been a resident of Albuquerque since 1952. She was a Gold Star Mother and served locally as department president and chaplain at various times. Flora was a lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the D.A.V. She was a volunteer at the Veteran's Hospital for many years. Flora loved dancing,fishing, and most of all, she loved her family. Rosary will be recited Friday, 5:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father, Joseph Tran Thai, S.S.S., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Friday, 3:00 p.m. to time of Rosary.
