George Dee Murphy, age 80, a resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday in a local hospital. He is survived by his wife, Eva Rae Murphy; daughters, Liana Garcia of Albuquerque, Georgann Morgan and husband, Marvin of Roswell, NM; grandchildren, Paul Garcia of Phoenix, AZ, Cindy Hiatt of Albuquerque, Craig Lake and wife, Sandee of Tijeras, NM, Sean Lake of Farmington, NM; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Hemphill of Albuquerque, Skyler Lake and Cameron Lake, both of Tijeras, NM, Kyle Hiatt and Tyler Hiatt, both of Albuquerque; niece, Gloria Brannen and husband, Richard of Albuquerque. Mr. Murphy was a longtime member of the Church of Christ of Netherwood Park. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE. Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Sandia Memory Gardens with Mr. Wayne Sharp of Netherwood Park Church of Christ officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Craig Lake, Paul Garcia, Sean Lake, Michael Hiatt, Ralph Dees, and Marvin Moran. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, in charge of arrangements.
