It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Morgan, 65, on Sunday, January 10, 1999. Barbara passed away in her sleep after a sudden illness and short hospital stay. Barbara was born in Fort Worth, Texas on August 18, 1933 and married John Cameron Morgan on September 24, 1949. They had spent 49 wonderful years together and looked forward to celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Jernigan last October. She is survived by her husband, John Morgan of the family home; daughter, Debra (Dee) Sanchez and husband, Mac of Santa Fe; son, John (Pete) Cameron Morgan, Jr. of Pennsylvania; sister, Ilene Shoemaker, her husband, Jay, and family of Texas, Eugene Perkins, his wife, Inez, and family of Texas; grandchildren, Maggie and Morgan Sanchez, Jenny and Charlotte Morgan, Bryan Sarracino; and a very special niece, Goldie Kay Byrd. Barbara counted many friends as part of her extended family, including Dahlia Tapia and family, Dolores Martinez and family, Bob and Barb Sanchez and family, Dennis and Loraine Sanchez and family, and many other friends too numerous to mention. Barbara was loved by all who knew her and had many friends in New Mexico, Texas, and Pennsylvania. She will be sorely missed by all of her loved ones, but missed most of all by her husband, John. She was his beloved baby and the light of his life. Memorial services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Friday, 8:00 a.m. until service.
