Filipe A. Ruelas, age 87, born on May 15, 1912, passed away to be with the Lord on June 16, 1999. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simon and Augustina Ruelas; one son, Phillip Ruelas; and one daughter, Tina Cisnero. Filipe is survived by two sons, Leo Ruelas and Simon Ruelas; two daughters, Emily Segura and husband, Horacio, and Rita Montoya and husband, Luis; one sister, Cecilia Mojarro and husband, Daniel; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be held this afternoon at the Chapel of Alameda at 4:00 p.m. until the time of Rosary. A Rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m., also at the Chapel of Alameda. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Horacio Segura, Luis Montoya, Gene Segura, Bill Ebanks, Mark Montoya, and Johnny Garcia. Services entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Norbert R. Baldonado Jr. F.S.I.
