S. Eleanor Slocum, 89, a resident of Albuquerque died, Thursday, February 4, 1999. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Guthrie and husband, Charles of New Mexico and Helen Howard; son, Edward Slocum and wife, Madelyn of New Jersey; sister, Jayne Oliver and husband, Tom of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law, Eleanor Slocum of Florida and Anita Slocum of New Jersey; 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Chester Slocum in 1977; sons, James Slocum and Kenneth Slocum both in 1996; and grandson, David Guthrie in 1987. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Monmouth Memorial Park in Neptune, NJ.
