Eloisa A. Gonzales, 91, passed away Thursday, February 4, 1999 in Albuquerque. She was born February 6, 1907 to Ricardo and Lola Zimmerly Abeyta in Socorro, NM. She was a member of the San Lorenzo Catholic Church in Polvadera, NM and the Socorro Senior Citizen Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry F. Gonzales; brothers, Antonio and Johnny Abeyta; sisters, Patrita Castillo, Rosa Abeyta, Encarnacion Sarracino, Adelina Padilla and Tomasa Barela. She is survived by her son, Mike Sarracino and wife, Gail of Hobbs, NM; daughters, Rowena Romero and husband, Gene of Socorro and Dolores Padilla and husband, Dan of Socorro; brother, Richard Abeyta of Albuquerque; sister, Leonides (Leo) Hartman of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Evelyn Vasquez, Roberta Powell, Albert Gene Romero Jr., Rolinda Zuni, Danny Padilla Jr., Melissa Oberg, Richie Padilla, Mike Sarracino Jr., and Manny Sarracino; step-children, Della Benavidez, Ramon Sarracino and Cooney Sarracino Jr.; great-grandchildren, Eddie Vasquez Jr., Ariana Vasquez, Nathan Powell, Albert Gene Romero III, James Romero, Charles Romero, Phillip Zuni, Justin Zuni, Tyler Zuni, Kylee Eloisa Padilla, Kristian Padilla, Destry Oberg, Melissa Sarracino, Mike Sarracino III, Manny Sarracino Jr., Chantel Sarracino, Andre Sarracino and Alexis Sarracino; special friends, Maria Vaiza, Raymond and Sefie Vallejos, and Eloisa Jojola. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 6, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. A private family Rosary will be recited Saturday, February 6, 7:00 p.m., at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home. A public Rosary will be recited Sunday, February 7, 7:00 p.m., at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 8, 11:00 a.m., at San Miguel with Father Bill Sanchez as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Polvadera Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Padilla Jr., Manny Sarracino Jr., Mike Sarracino Jr., Albert Gene Romero Jr., Richie Padilla, Eddie Vasquez, Paul Oberg and Bryan Powell.
