Obituary for Rubi

Nora B. Rubi, age 78, and lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, June 6, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Dowie Lujan and husband, Henry, and Vangie Nephew and husband, Merv; four sons, Edward Rubi and wife, Henrietta, Trappie Rubi and wife, Betty, David Rubi and wife, Sharon, and Diego Rubi and wife, Maxine; three sisters, Julia, Marcella and Lena; two brothers, Salome and George, 21 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ralph Rubi Sr.; and one son, Pat Rubi Sr. She was a member of San Ignacio Catholic Church. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. at San Ignacio Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 10, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. at San Ignacio Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery with Pat Rubi Jr., Peter Padilla, Patrick Rubi, Enrique Lujan, Juan Diego Lujan, David T. Rubi Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Rubi, Pancho Quinones, Antonio Silva, Merv Nephew and Johnny Acosta. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
