Willie Marie Melton, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1956, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999. She is survived by her children, Marie Martin and husband, Charles of Carrizozo, Tom Melton of Yuma, AZ, and Mary Elizabeth Sikes and husband, Martin of Fredericktown, MO: nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister, Lois Kirschner of Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dempise Melton in 1995; and son, Frank Melton in 1969. Mrs. Melton had been a member of First Baptist Church for many years. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Southwest Heights Church, 9800 Benavides SW, with Pastor Rick Tejada officiating.
