Victor Martinez, 83, passed away January 21, 1999, surrounded by his family. He was a longtime resident of Alameda, active member of Nativity Church, and a member of SNMDMP #2 in Alameda, NM. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He was preceded in death by daughter, Maria. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carmen Martinez; sons, Benny and wife, Berna Martinez, Daniel and wife, Eleanor Martinez, Raymond Martinez, Victor and wife, Helen Martinez; grandchildren, Anthony Martinez, Diane Martinez, Daniel R. Martinez, Carmen Estrada, Lydia and David Sandoval, Steven and Janet Martinez, Richard Martinez, Michael Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Julian Murrittia; great-grandchildren, Alicia Estrada, Andrew Estrada, David Sandoval Jr., Marcos Sandoval, Celina Sandoval, Robert Good, Jason Truitt, Christina Truitt; sister-in-law, Celia Chavez; nieces and nephews, Consuelo Ingram, Robert and Liz Chavez, Manuel Chavez, Louis and Ruth Chavez, Ernestine Gutierrez. Services will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, 4th and Alameda, with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22nd, Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, celebrated by his grandson, Reverend Anthony Martinez. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel R. Martinez, Steven Martinez, Richard Martinez, Michael Martinez, Manuel Martinez, Gabriel Martinez.
