George Merren, born June 22, 1931, died Thursday, July 22, 1999. George was a Korean War Veteran. He was a member of the American Legiom, Post 69. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories after 37 years of service. George is survived by his wife of 41 years, Alice of Albuquerque; three sons; Richard of Bangkok, Thailand, Tom and David, both of Albuquerque; and two granddaughters. Graveside services will be today, July 27, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Legion Post 69. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
