Obituary for Kouri

Ruth Marie Kouri, 75, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly in her home on July 19, 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Abraham Kouri; and grandson, Adam Abraham Kouri. Mrs. Kouri and her late husband, Al, owned several businesses in Albuquerque, Silver Arrow Traders, Midtown Screenprinting, and the Scoreboard. She was an avid bowler and golfer, and a lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan. She is survived by her mother, Anne Mae Eichelberger, 94; daughter, Shelly Groves and husband, Buddy; son, Scott Veitz and wife, Connie; daughter, Marcanne Kouri-Beck and husband, Max; and son, Dana Kouri and wife, Susan, all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by grandchildren, Staci Tethal of California, Dwan Groves, Ryan Veitz, Joshua Groves, Caleb Groves, Bryan Beck, Brad Beck, Jennifer Kouri, Lindsay Kouri, Trevor Groves, Brandon Beck, Alex Kouri, Kelsey Kouri; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 29, at St. Johns Episcopal Cathedral, 318 Silver Avenue, at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The American Diabetes Association, 525 San Pedro Drive NE, Suite 101, Albuquerque, NM 87108.
