Obituary for Gieseck

Barbara Gieseck, 62, a resident of Los Lunas for 19 years, left us to join our Heavenly Father, at our home on July 26, 1999, after a short battle with cancer. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Barbara was retired from the Albuquerque Police Department after 22 years of outstanding service. She was a member of the VFW Post 9676 and a member of the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Barger and her brother, George Barger. She is survived by her father, Jack Barger of Amarillo, TX; her four children, Anna Gieseck of Los Lunas, Connie Garcia and her husband, George of Albuquerque, Theresa Trujillo and her husband, Ray of Los Lunas, and Harry Gieseck and his wife, Sherri of Ohio; 12 grandchildren, JJ, Arthur, Sheresa, Monica, Monique, Desiree, George, Ray, Michael, Alyssa, Nichole, Darren; and one great-grandchild, Kristin. She is also survived by her dearest and closest friend, Sarah Dusing. Viewing will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary following at 6:00 p.m. at the San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m., also at the San Clemente Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Mike Solano, Ray Trujillo, George Garcia, Arthur Gieseck, Bill Lucero and Rudy Nieves. Honorary pallbearers will be Michelle Byers, Ray Trujillo Jr., Michael Trujillo, George Garcia Jr., Sheresa Trujillo, Nichole Garcia, Desiree Trujillo and Monique Trujillo.
