Obituary for Alarcon

Mrs. Maria A. Alarcon, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family on July 24, 1999. Mrs. Alarcon was the loving mother of five daughters, Mary Aguilar and husband, Jesus G., Gregoria Hernandez and husband, Jimmy Sr., Soledad Montano and husband, Louie, Susie Benavidez and husband, Eddie, and Marcella Gallegos; five sons, Ismael Alarcon and wife, Matilde, Pedro Alarcon, Joe Alarcon and wife, Veronica, Ladislado Alarcon and wife, Jeanette, and John Alarcon and wife, Marie. She is also survived by her brother, Cesario Armendariz and wife, Aurora; 38 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and one great-great due in September; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Alarcon was a member of the Catholic Church and her favorite Patron Saint was La Virgin De La Soledad. A Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, with visitation after 6:30 p.m. Martha Herrera, reciting. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning, 9:00 a.m., at Holy Rosary Church with final viewing at the church after 8:30 a.m. Father Jim Huth, Celebrant and Deacon Juan Barajas, con-Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Juan Marcos Alarcon, Joe Alfred Alarcon, Jimmy Hernandez, Jesus Aguilar Jr., Lalo Alarcon Jr., Sammy Chavez and Richard Montano. Honorary will be Mary Helen Alarcon, Darlene Benavidez and Dolores silva. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
