Obituary for Park

Marvin Jay Park, 73, born September 15, 1925 in Washington State, died Monday, July 19, 1999. Mr. Park was a resident of Albuquerque for 42 years and a former resident of Seattle, WA. He is survived by his sons, Paul M. Park and wife, Rebecca of Ephrata, WA and Marvin J. Park Jr. of Bullhead City, AZ; daughters, Gail E. Cox of Phoenix, AZ and Joan M. Murray and husband, Boris of Albuquerque; 14 grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester, George and Carroll, all of the Seattle area; one aunt; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; and two grandchildren. Mr. Park was an Army veteran of WWII where he served his country in the Philippines. He was formerly an instructor of welding at TVI and he is remembered as an avid outdoor sportsman. Mr. Park enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was an accomplished marksman. He was a member of VFW, Post 401 and B.P.O.E. in Rio Rancho. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 23, 1999, 6:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
