Betty Bedell, 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 11 years, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 1999. She was the beloved wife of Al Hluzek for 16 years; loving mother of Ann Bedell Hunt of Ft. Worth, TX, Van Bedell and wife, Kathy of Kansas City, KS and Randy Bedell of Minneapolis, MN; and cherished grandmother of Ryan, Rachel, and Christina Bedell, all of Minneapolis, MN, and Jennifer and Rebecca Bedell, both of Kansas City, KS. Betty was also the wonderful step-mother of Linda Wiseman of Tampa, FL and Al Hluzek Jr. and wife, Betty of Sarasota, FL; and enduring friend to many at the Grande Court Retirement Center. She was an adventurous dreamer that held several careers from dietician for the Veterans Administration Hospital, Prescott, AZ, to credit manager for Grimshaw Mortuary in Phoenix. Betty was a very special and kind soul who will be missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Meine and Renske E. Ruben Vandergraph. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 24, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at The Grand Court Retirement Center, 300 Valencia Dr. SE, Albuquerque, NM. French Mortuary, - Lomas Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
