Obituary for Greenleaf

W. Michael"Mike" Greenleaf, 44, died Saturday, March 20, 1999 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA. He is survived by his wife, Laura Greenleaf of Clive, IA; sons, Michael and Eric Greenleaf of Clive, IA; daughter, Jennifer Greenleaf of Ames, IA; parents, Edward"Bill" and Sadie Greenleaf of Albuquerque; brother, Daniel Greenleaf of Seattle, WA; sisters, Mary Johnson and husband, Ron of Albuquerque and Sandra Mascarenas and husband, Joe of Tome, NM; 17 nephews and nieces; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Greenleaf was a graduate of Manzano High School in 1972, and he graduated from UNM with a degree in business education. During high school, he began working for Sears and eventually worked his way up to District Manager in Iowa. Mr. Greenleaf was a member of Kappa Alpha and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Des Moines, IA. He loved golf and basketball. Mr. Greenleaf was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. Prayer services will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Father Paul Baca officiating. Pallbearers will be Daniel Greenleaf, Eddie Rivera, Richard Rivera, Charlie Chapin, Buddy Mednik, and Jeff Harrison. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of New Mexico Scholarship Fund.
