Obituary for Griego

Hermanejildo"Herman" Griego, 56, a beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, was called home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 17, 1999. Herman and his wife recently moved to Mora, NM from Albuquerque, where he was a longtime resident; he was a parishioner of St. Edwin's Catholic Church in Albuquerque; he served in the United States Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Agnes M. Griego of the family home; four sons, Fabian Steven Griego and wife, Mary Ann of Albuquerque, Lawrence J. Lucero of Denver, CO, Christopher L. Lucero of California, James T. Lucero and wife, Yolanda of Albuquerque; two daughters, Danette Barela and husband, Richard of Taylor Ranch, Audrey D. Gonzales, and Joe Giron of Texas; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving mother, Felicita Griego of Albuquerque; brother, Eloy Griego and wife, Margaret; two sisters, Regina Gonzales and Trinnie Martinez, Clara Sedillo, all of Albuquerque; and two very dear friends, Jose and Cecelia Lovato. He will be greatly missed and always thought of by his loving family and friends. Family and friends may visit Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Iron, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Edwin's Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd. SW. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Funeral Services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW, 243-5222.
