Melvin Meister, 78, a resident of Los Lunas since 1984, died Wednesday, March 17, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Norma J. Brennand and husband, David of Dunken, NM; sons, Douglas G. Meister and wife, Judi of Indianapolis, IN, Michael D. Meister and wife, Brenda of Belen and Timothy M. Meister of Alamogordo; grandchildren, Christine M. Koehler, Robert D. Jenkins, Aimee J. Albright, Douglas G. Meister Jr., Joseph C. Meister, M. Joshua Meister, Jason S. Meister, Brandee M. Meister and Brittany R. Meister; great-grandchildren, Alex R. Koehler, Kevin J. Koehler, Adam M. Albright, Melanie J. Albright and Gavin A. Meister; brother, Ralph Meister of Correctionville, IA; and sister, Sylvia Beelner of Kingsley, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie J. Meister in 1986. Mr. Meister retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1984. Cremation has taken place and interment of cremains will be held in Kingsley, IA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of New Mexico, 216 Truman NE, 87108.
