Obituary for Otero

Josephine Otero, 71, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, was called home to be with the Lord on her birthday, Monday, March 15, 1999. Mrs. Otero was born in Albuquerque; she was parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Porfirio Otero of the family home; three daughters, Lorraine Pollack and husband, Gabriel, Mary Benavidez, Aida Garcia and husband, Ronnie; three sons, Tom Otero, Anthony Otero and wife, Rose, Lawrence Otero; two granddaughters, Gabriella Wood and Angel Pollack; eight grandsons, Pete and Patrick Benavidez, Orlando and Ronnie Garcia, Arthur and Andres Herrera, Chris Drinkwater, Thomas Otero; and seven great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, with the Reverend James Moore as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Pete Benavidez, Patrick Benavidez, Orlando Garcia, Ronnie James Garcia, Chris Drinkwater and Michael Wood. Honorary bearers will be Andres Herrera and Arthur Herrera. Funeral services are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW.
