He is also survived by his brothers, Curtis Hardison and wife, Martha of Albuquerque, Kenneth Hardison, James Hardison, Bruce Hardison and Don Hardison; and sisters, Frances Nichols, Mary Mitchell and Kay Jackson. Mel was born in Amarillo, TX and raised in Eunice. After serving in the U.S. Army, he graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1955 and was an avid supporter of Lobo athletics. Mel had worked for the last 25 years for Hooten/Stahl, Inc. and was currently the CFO for Realco, Inc. He was a member of the NMSCPA and AICPA. Mel devoted himself to caring for his family and providing beyond financial support to all of us. He was extremely proud of all his children and loved nothing more than to have the house full of family and friends. His lifelong love was singing-demonstrated by his membership in the Symphony Chorus, the Enchanters and the St. Chad's choir. Mel was a charter member of St. Chad's Episcopal Church and held a constant interest in the workings of his local parish as well as the Diocese of the Rio Grande. He always believed that we could and should gather together to share ideas and viewpoints, then part as brothers and sisters in Christ. Mel was a past president of Planned Parenthood, the Civic Light Opera and was currently a member of the All Faith's Receiving Home Board of Trustees and Board of Directors. As he would want, we will gather in celebration of his tremendous life and accomplishments, Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond NE. Please come prepared to sing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Faith's Receiving Home, 1709 Moon NE, 87112, the New Mexico Symphony, P.O.
