Marie A. Atkins, age 101, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on March 15, 1999. A resident since 1974, Mrs. Atkins was a former owner of one of the first A&W drive-in's in the Southwest. She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Lauderdale by the Sea. She is survived by her daughter, LaVonne Elins of Fort Lauderdale; nephew, Theodore Sieber of Chicago; and by several great-nephews and a great-niece. A memorial service is pending.
