Edward S. Grymkoski passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 1999 at the age of 84, at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque after complications from cancer. Edward was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois. He served in the US Navy during World War II aboard the USS Salt Lake City in the Pacific. On February 22, 1947, Edward and Virginia were married. He was a resident of New Mexico since October 1950 and a resident of Albuquerque since October 1954. Ed was a tool and die maker at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratory prior to operating his own machine shop business, Superior Machine Specialties in Albuquerque. We are thankful for a healthy and long life for such a hard working man, who grew up in the Depression, knew the value of the dollar throughout his life, and took deep pride in everything he did. He will also be remembered for being light on his feet on the ballroom dance floor, where he spent many a Friday and Saturday nights dancing the night away till the last dance. All his great friends and family will miss him and we are thankful for their support in the past few months. Edward's brothers, Ernest and Leonard from Waukegan, IL; sister, Florence Heineman of Scottsdale, AZ; his son, Lee F. of Albuquerque and son, Peter S.; two grandchildren, Jonathan Grymkoski and Nicole Grymkoski survive Edward. Interment of cremains will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM with a short memorial service on Friday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m.
