Obituary for Torrez

Mr. Beltran (Plumber) Torrez, 60, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on February 13, 1999. Mr. Torrez is survived by two daughters, Janet Torrez and Roseann Torrez; two sons, Jesse Torrez and fiance, Christine Perry, and Erik Torrez; four sisters, Tomisita Sandoval, Ruby Herrera and husband, Pablo, Helen Quintero and husband, Tito and Rosalie Ramirez and husband, Rafael; four grandchildren, Jacqueline, Crystal, Melanie and Desiree; aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Serafico Elwell; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Torrez was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Elwell Torrez. Mr. Torrez was a member of the Catholic Church and was well known in Albuquerque for his outstanding upholstery work. His work was shown in several of the custom care magazines. He also enjoyed training horses for racing. He was a loving father and grandfather, and was loved by all. Visitation will be Thursday morning in the San Jose Church, 2401 Broadway SE, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Farias. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Herrera, Dave Herrera, Rafael Ramirez III, Mark Quintero, Benny Tapia and Raul Montoya. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Tenoro Sr. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of arrangements.
