Viola M. McCorkle, 97, a resident of Albuquerque since 1933, died Sunday, February 14, 1999. She is survived by her son, Thomas L. McCorkle and wife, Betty of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Tommie Jo Clerkin of Maryland and Clyde McCorkle of Virginia; great-grandchildren, Lee Nelson and Michelle Nelson, both of Maryland and Elizabeth McCorkle of Virginia; sister, Rosalee Warmuth of Tucumcari; and caregiver, Helen Torres of Albuquerque. Mrs. McCorkle was a member of the Rebekah Lodge. She was a retired florist, having worked for Gray's Flower Shop for several years. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 17, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Tuesday, February 16, 1999, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
