Obituary for Wilson

W.J. Tunny Wilson died Tuesday, January 19, 1999. Cremation has taken place. Tunny was born February 10, 1937 in Hereford, Texas. His family moved to Albuquerque in January 1952. He was graduated from Highland High School in 1955, and was a co-captain of the Highland High School State Football Championship Team of 1954. Tunny served with the U.S. Army in Korea and was graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Business in 1964. He was a graduate of UNM School of Law in 1986 after successful careers in the securities industry and real estate. He practiced law in Albuquerque and Durango, Colorado until his illness. Tunny was a multi-engine aircraft instrument pilot instructor and accomplished horseman. In lieu of flowers, Tunny requested donations to the"Make a Wish Foundation" of New Mexico, 5301 Central Avenue NE 87108. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, at St. John's Episcopal Cathedral, Fourth and Silver, Downtown Albuquerque. Friends will be welcomed at a gathering in the church hall after the service.
