Mr. Joe G. Stevens died Wednesday in Los Lunas at the age of 68. Mr. Stevens was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion 100. Mr. Stevens is survived by his wife, Bessie Stevens of Albuquerque; sons, Gilbert Stevens of Los Lunas, John Stevens of Albuquerque, and Frank Stevens and wife, Cynthia of Los Lunas; daughters, Lucille Archibeque and husband, Lonnie of Albuquerque, Pauline Edmunds of North Carolina, Diana Martinez and husband, Daniel of Albuquerque, Rosemary Duran of Los Lunas, Connie Haigg and husband, Richard, Elizabeth Parra and husband, Frank, and Mary Jane Lovato, all of Albuquerque; sister, Audrey Phillips and husband, Lonnie of Albuquerque; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mr. Stevens will be held on Monday at the St. Therese Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Joseph Archibeque, Orlando Archibeque, Delonna Stevens, Michael Phillips, Andrea Stevens and Michelle Ortega. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Ortega, Carlos Duran and Nichole Benavidez. A Rosary for Mr. Stevens will be recited on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Therese Church.
