Obituary for Bennett

Lila Bennett, 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976, died Tuesday, May 18, 1999. She is survived by daughter, Nikki Kull and husband, Michael; son, Max D. Bennett and wife, Pam; sister, Wanda L. Kilgo; grandchildren, Nolan Bennett and wife, Katie, Meredith Bennett, Krista Earickson and husband, Steve, Heath and wife, Lani Kull; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Earickson and Britney Hanchett. Lila enjoyed hiking all different trails throughout New Mexico. She was the co-owner of The Gals women's shop in Portales in the 1980s and a member of the Portales Women's Club and Garden Club. Lila was active in First Methodist Church in Portales and St. John's United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. She also participated in arts and crafts and was an accomplished seamstress. Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the New Mexico Boys & Girls Ranches, 6209 Hendrix NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
