Obituary for Balint

Leslie Bela Balint, age 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died May 18, 1999 in a local hospital. He is survived by his daughter, Carol Jones of Sandia Park, NM; grandson, John Miller and fiancee, Tonie Baker of Albuquerque. Mr. Balint was a member of ARRL and an avid Ham Operator. He loved to sing and had a great voice. He was known for his good sense of humor. He enjoyed boating, fishing, camping and trains, especially the locomotives. He was also into Civil War history. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 20, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5810 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Strong-Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, in charge of arrangements.
