Obituary for Sandoval

Tomasita Sandoval, a resident of Albuquerque for 36 years, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Padilla and husband, Jerry; granddaughters, Anita Salas and husband, Gilbert Sr., Kateri Padilla and Mary Denise Vigeant and husband, Jim; grandsons, Kyle Padilla and Tyler Padilla, all of Albuquerque; brother, Aniceto Sandoval of Pueblo, CO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidro and Trinidad Sandoval Sr.; brothers, Isidro Jr., Jose, Julian, Ignacio, Petronilo and Juan Sandoval; and sisters, Trinidad Ortiz, Mary Gertrude Sandoval and Terecita Naranjo. Tomasita was a member of the Order of St. Francis from the Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows in Las Vegas, NM. She was very active at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church and enjoyed preparing arts and crafts for the San Felipe Church Festival. Tomasita also enjoyed raising children. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 12:00 noon, at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW, Old Town, with Father Leo Lucero, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mario Ludi, Gilbert Salas Jr., Herman Naranjo, Charles Naranjo, Jim Martinez, Rick Garcia and Gilbert Sandoval. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
