Mary Leona Brown, a resident of Albuquerque for 45 years, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999 in a local hospital following an illness. Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband, James Buster Brown of Albuquerque; one brother, John Childs and his wife, Martha of Dallas, TX; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marguerite Wetherbe. Mrs. Brown was a member of First United Methodist Church. She retired from the Albuquerque Public Schools in 1980 after having taught for 34 years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE.
