Obituary for Barragan

Julio P. Barragan, 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother, passed away Saturday, April 4, 1999. Mr. Barragan was a resident of Albuquerque. He was a lifelong teamster. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roman and Apolonia Barragan. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances; three daughters, Catherine Barragan, Tomasita Torrez and husband, Robert, and Teresa Lovato; one son, Frank Lovato; two sisters, Teresita Ayon and Cepranita Chavez; one brother, Frank Barragan; two grandchildren, Robert Torrez Jr. and Julio Camden; two great-grandchildren, Keith and Jasmine Torrez; also surviving is his good friend, Virginia Archibeque. Friends may visit today, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the chapel of Alameda Mortuary with an evening service at 7:00 p.m. also in the chapel. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. also in the chapel with interment to follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Joy Ayon, Gilbert Ayon, Joe Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Frank Lovato, Fred Faudoa and Robert Torrez. Honorary casket bearers will be Julio Camden and Keith Torrez. Services entrusted to Alameda Mortuary, 9420 4th St. NW, Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
