Jo Ann (Proffitt) Perez, 68, a resident of Albuquerque, since 1960, passed away Saturday, March 27, 1999 after a short illness. She is survived by six daughters, Priscilla Rickerman and husband, Michael, Albuquerque, Sheila Shaffer, Santa Fe, Teresa Mata and husband, Larry and Kathy Proffitt of Albuquerque; two sons, Roy Proffitt and wife, Susan, Edgewood and Earl Proffit and wife, Norma, Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and six grand-dogs, her brothers and sisters, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a special friend, John Garza. She loved bingo and during her illness she made sure that her children had both bingo and lotto numbers to play for her. We know she will miss playing cards with Wade, Esther, Paul, Jr., Patty, Eddie, Billy and Larry. Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM in Fern Chapel of Strong-Thorne, 1100 Coal SE.
