Obituary for Uurtamo

Beatrice I. Uurtamo, 81, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died Thursday, April 8, 1999. She is survived by her son, Stephen J. Uurtamo of Amherst, NH; daughter, Cassandra I. Uurtamo of Albuquerque; grandsons, Stephen J. Uurtamo of Tucson, AZ, Devin T. Uurtamo of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughters, Kristin L. Uurtamo of Phoenix, AZ, Sara E. Uurtamo of Amherst, NH; and sister, Frances Mohr of Topton, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Major Stephen T. Uurtamo, who served with the 45th Division during WWII and the 2nd Division in the Korean War. Beatrice was a graduate of Allentown, PA public schools, attended Moravian College for Women, and graduated from Jefferson Medical College and School of Anesthesia. She served with the Army Nurse Corp during WWII. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, May 1, 10:30 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, My Shepherd Niche, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Martin's Hospitality Center, 1115 3rd NW, 87102. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
