George Orona Sr., 75, was called home to the Lord on April 15, 1999. Beloved husband of Tocha Gutierrez de Orona; father of sons, Joe Luke and wife, Connie, George Jr. and wife, Sharon; daughter, Carmen Valencia; grandfather of grandsons, Brian Orona and wife, Georgianna, Jody Valencia, Jaime Orona, Billy Orona; and step-grandson, Daniel Vivian; granddaughters, Lisa Lesku and husband, Frank, Jolene Valencia; and great-granddaughters, Olivia Orona and Ashley Lesku; brother to Jack Orona and sisters, Candelaria Gutierrez, Mayme Pineda, and Sylvia Flores. He served his community as past president of the Eagles, active member of the Moose Lodge #1517, and an employee of Lembke Construction for 40 years. Mass will be held Monday, 10:00 a.m., at Santuario de San Martin Church, 8321 Comino de San Martin. Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE, in charge of arrangements.
