Frances O. Vigil, 82, a lifelong resident of Ranchitos, NM, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Enrique Vigil of Ranchitos, NM; daughter, Josie Abeyta and husband, Alex of Hayward, CA; sons, William Vigil and wife, Dolores of Albuquerque and Jimmy Vigil and wife, Maxine of San Mateo, CA; daughters, Helen Atencio and husband, John of Dixon, NM, Theresa Martinez and husband, Freddie, Barbara Maestas and husband, David, and Annie Maestas and husband, James, all of Albuquerque; 26 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Emily Maes of Vadito, NM and Virginia Martinez and husband, Pete of Grants; and brothers, Alfredo Maes and wife, Elaizia of Espanola, Rafael Maes and wife, Margaret of Vadito, NM, and Joe Maes of San Mateo, CA. She was preceded in death by her sons, Tony Vigil and Henry Vigil Jr. Mrs. Vigil was a member of the Legion of Mary and St. John Catholic Church in San Juan Pueblo. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Legion of Mary reciting. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW, with Fr. Vidal Martinez, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alvin Abeyta, Larry Vigil, James Vigil, Jonathan Atencio, Kenneth Martinez, Darren Maestas, Jeremy Maestas, and Joseph Vigil. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Vigil, Tommy Vigil, Tommy Martinez, Phillip Maestas, Antonio Vigil, and Carlos Vigil. French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
