R. Howard Lax, of Cuba, Missouri (formerly of Jackson, TN), passed away on April 13, 1999 at the age of 71 after a long illness. He was the nephew of the late Hal lax and nephew of Emma P. Hill. Mr. Lax was a member of West Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson, TN and served in WWII in Germany. He graduated from high school in Jackson, TN. He is survived by two children; aunt, Emma; cousins; and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 17, 1999 after 9:00 a.m. at the Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, MO. Funeral services will be held at the Britton Chapel on Saturday, April 17, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, MO. Memorials may be made to the Heart Association or Red Cross.
