Obituary for Cooper

Gladys May Linneman Cooper, 88, a resident of El Vado Ranch, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, April 16, 1999 following a lengthy illness. She was born in Leigh, Nebraska on May 11, 1910, to August Frederick Wilhelm Linneman and Nora Lucas De Sanno. Mrs. Cooper married Carl R. Cooper on May 23, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R. Cooper on October 14, 1991; grandson, Jeremy Cooper; brothers and sisters, Nina, Richard, Lila, Oran, Everett, Clinton, Lotus Fredersdorf Schlapper. She is survived by her children, Carla D. McCray of Truth or Consequences, JoAnn C. Richards of Rio Rancho, Karen S. Garber of Grand Junction, CO, and David A. Cooper of El Vado Ranch, NM. She is also survived by one sister, Doris Daly of Overland Park, KS. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 1999, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Block-Salazar Mortuary Chapel. A second visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Chama, NM with funeral services following at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the family plot at the El Vado Ranch. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald W. McCray, Charles P. Richards, Martin Garber, Mark S. McCray, Adam B. Cooper and Joshua C. Cooper. Named as honorary pallbearers are David J. (Sonny) Cooper, Jeffery Smith, Robert R. Zimmerman, Charles K. Richards, Alan Garber, Roger Patterson, Christopher Owens, Raymond Smith and Joseph Pina.
