Mrs. Rose M. Saavedra, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on April 13, 1999. Mrs. Saavedra is survived by three sons, Mariano Saavedra and wife, Chris, Tomas Saavedra and wife, Gabriella and Daniel Saavedra and wife, Stella; one sister, Elsie Gleason and husband, Alvin; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Jessie Pino-Montoya; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mrs. Saavedra was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality, and the Sacred Heart League. Visitation will be Thursday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Church, 562 Atrisco SW with visitation in the church after 6:30 p.m. Final visitation will be Friday morning, from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m., with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Jack. Interment will follow in the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Saavedra, Ron Saavedra, Edwin Saavedra, Eric Saavedra, Abel Saavedra, and Pete Apodaca. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW, in charge of arrangements.
