Virginia D. Leonard, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 9, 1999. She was born in Tyler, Texas on January 30, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Henry Roy. She married Ledell Leonard in December 1949. To this union five children were born. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of Neighborhood Baptist Community. She leaves to mourn her passing, five children, Jerry Leonard of Kent, WA, Billy Leonard of Rio Rancho, Ledell Leonard of Phoenix, AZ, Glynn Leonard of Kent, WA, and Carla Demmings of Albuquerque; four grandsons, Tyrone Landrum, Rauhsaud Landrum, Jerry Leonard Jr. and Jarmer Leonard; five sisters; three brothers; aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, April 15, 1999, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m., at Hillcrest Funeral Home, and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, April 16, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, with Rev. N.D. Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
