Jim Rivers, 59, a resident of Albuquerque since 1979, died Saturday, April 10, 1999. He is survived by his daughter, Hope Emery and husband, Michael of Melbourne, FL; son, Jim Rivers of Albuquerque; grandson, Brian Bullard of Albuquerque; sister, Joan Bruman and husband, Leonard, of North Branch, MI; brother, Richard Rivers and wife, Carol of Tampa, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene in 1989. Mr. Rivers retired from the U.S. Forest Service in 1994 after 32 years of service. He then worked for the Open Space Program with the Albuquerque City Government. He was also an active member of San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe De Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
