Obituary for Stromei

Daniel Hark"Jimmy" Stromei, 56, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Monday, May 3, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Mary Fabiola Stromei of Los Lunas; son, Danny Hickman and wife, Wendy of Farmington; daughter, La Dalle Stromei of Atlanta, GA; step-daughter, Rhea Griffin and husband, Michael of Middleburg, FL; grandsons, Curtis Hickman of Farmington, Michael Griffin and John Griffin, both of Middleburg, FL; granddaughters, Cheryl Hickman of Farmington, Sierra Marie Jowers of Atlanta, GA, and Jacqueline Griffin of Middleburg, FL; great-grandson, Arthur Riley Hickman of Farmington; father, Frank T. Stromei of Belen; brothers, Frank C. Stromei and wife, Linda of Corrales, Dave N. Stromei and wife, Ellen of Belen and Tom L. Stromei of Los Lunas; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Stromei was preceded in death by his son, R.D. Stromei. He belonged to a New Mexico pioneer family started by Hark and Esther Colbaugh in the 1800's in Corona. Mr. Stromei won the Deklab Award/Who's Who in Agriculture in 1962. He proudly served in the US Army with Military Intelligence during the Vietnam War. He was involved in many business ventures in Valencia and Bernalillo Counties. Services will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Rev. Danny Hickman officiating. Interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, one hour prior to service.
