James E. Gibson, born in Nicholson, Georgia March 3, 1921, died Tuesday, January 5, 1999. He was a veteran of World War II and is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Jean Gibson; their three sons, Richard, Rob and Mike, along with their wives, Susan, Pam and Francine; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Ann Lord of Nicholson, GA. A viewing will be at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 7. James will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with graveside services at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 8, 1999.
