Obituary for Davie

Kenneth L. Davie, a resident of Albuquerque for 4 1/2 years, died Saturday, January 2, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Nellie of the family home; son, Neil Davie and wife, Susan of Cedar Crest; and grandchildren, Angela, Adam and Melissa Davie of Cedar Crest. Mr. Davie was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He served in the U.S. Navy and Merchant Marines and was a World War II veteran. Mr. Davie was a mechanical engineer with the Rock Island Illinois Arsenal, retiring in 1980. After his retirement, he pursued watercolor painting and his work was exhibited in numerous shows and galleries. Mr. Davie was a member of the Albuquerque Watercolor Society, Friends of Art, and the Left Bank Art League in Rock Island, IL. In 1994, Kenneth and Nellie Davie moved to Albuquerque from Rock Island, Illinois and are members of St. John's Methodist Church. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, January 6, 1999, 12:00 noon, at French Mortuary - Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE with Rev. Charles Price and Rev. Robert E. Stone officiating.
