Obituary for Pierce

Raymond"Ray" Pierce, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1943, died Sunday, December 5, 1999. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vivian Tillery Pierce; daughters, Barbara Ann Pierce Moore, and Carolyn Pierce Smith and husband, Mac, all of Texas; grandchildren, Zane Allen Moore and wife, Kathy and William Kurt Moore, all of Texas, and Shawn McDonald Smith and wife, Joy of California; great-granddaughter, Christina Angele McKenzie Smith of California; and many, many loved nieces and nephews. Ray was a longtime member of Hoffmantown Baptist Church and was the first Sunday School Superintendent. He worked with Creamland Dairies for 20 years and was with Ed Black's Chevrolet in truck sales for 17 years, retiring in 1986. Ray loved people and enjoyed life. He was very dearly loved and will be missed greatly. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Hoffmantown Church, 8888 Harper NE, with Pastor Rick Donaho and Rev. Gerald Farley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
