Obituary for Colberg

John H. Colberg, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died Monday, December 06, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Joan Colberg of Albuquerque; daughters, Celeste Padilla and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; sons, Charles Colberg and wife, Lynn, Andy Colberg and Scott Davidson, Tom Colberg and wife, Isabel, all of Albuquerque, and Daniel Colberg and wife, Louisa of San Diego, CA; daughter, Ann Scheller and husband, Ray of Rio Rancho; son, James Edward Colberg of Los Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Justin Colberg, Ryan Morgan, Adam Colberg, Matthew Colberg, Danielle Colberg, Mary Margaret Colberg, John Lewis Colberg, Kathleen Colberg, Dylan Scheller and Bailey Ann Scheller. Mr. Colberg served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and 25 years in the Army Reserves. He retired as a 1st Sgt. from the 387th Engineering Company. He was a member of the Catholic Faith and the also belonged to the VFW. Mr. Colberg was a former member of the New Mexico Mounted Patrol and the Optimist Club. He was a loving father and a dedicated husband and he will be missed by all who knew him. Rosary will be recited Wednesday, December 8, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 9, 1999, 10:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Fr. Bob Chabot, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 2:00 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Wednesday, December 8, 1999, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
