Obituary for Walsh

Anna C. Walsh, 90, passed away Sunday, December 5, 1999. She was born Anna Cardoza in East Boston, MA. in 1909 and worked for many years as a schoolteacher there. During WWII, Anna served in the Women's Army Corps. Following the war, she moved to Phoenix, AZ with her husband, Edward, who died in 1951. In Phoenix, she worked for the Veterans Administration until returning to Boston and earning a Masters Degree in Library Science. She then moved to Chandler, AZ where she worked as an elementary school librarian until retiring and moving to Albuquerque. She is survived by a son, Michael, his wife, Theresa; and two grandchildren, Laura and Rachel, all of Albuquerque; as well as many nieces and nephews from the Boston area. All will miss her greatly. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 2621 Vermont NE, with Father Ronald Bruckner, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE
