Obituary for Jones

Curtis Jones, 90, a resident of Albuquerque since 1965, died November 29, 1999. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Wilder and husband, Ronald of Albuquerque; a son, Curtis F. Jones of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Jeff Wilder and wife, Maureen of Albuquerque, Eric Wilder and wife, Cheryl of New Iberia, LA, Leah DeTavis and husband, Tony of Las Vegas, NV, Sherry and Randy Jones of Mesa, AZ; a niece, Julee Short of Norman, OK; and six great-grandchildren. Before retiring, he farmed in Southeastern New Mexico, North of Hobbs, on the land his grandparents, James Andrew and Nancy Jane Mosely homesteaded in 1909, the year he was born. They traveled by covered wagon from Duncan, Oklahoma. He was a member of Del Norte Baptist Church and Tom Youngs Health Spa. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Sun Bridge Mission Manor and Sandia Hospice for all the kindness shown and special care given to this loved one. Cremation has taken place and a private service is planned. Aspen Funeral Alternatives is in charge of arrangements.
